Karen Angela Shea, 33, of VanDerveer Street, Amsterdam, NY; passed away Monday August 7, 2017 at home.
Born in Amsterdam on September 19, 1983, she was the daughter of Timothy Shea who survives and the late Kathleen Kosiba Shea.
Karen received her education in the Amsterdam school system and was a graduate of Amsterdam High School.
She was employed as a home health aide for the Resource Center for Independent Living in Amsterdam.
Karen was a member of the Family Bible Church in Amsterdam.
She is also survived by her sister, Nicole Scanlan (Christopher) of Clifton Park, NY and her step grandmother, Patricia Shea of Tribes Hill, NY. Aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive.
Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the Family Bible Church, 449 Thayer Road, Amsterdam, NY.
Cremation was held at Park View Crematorium in Schenectady, NY.
Memorial gifts in Karen’s name may be made to the Family Bible Church.
